Jazzy and Bob just love the cat-nip! Jazzy runs around like crazy, emitting a low growl because she's having fun while Bob plops down on the Bob looking spaced-out! Yep, Sam and I are enablers. LOL
Love it-what mischief are they up to?
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute with the cat nip!
ReplyDeleteI love getting my cats high too! They are too funny.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Amy; I especially like the tongue-sticking-out one!
ReplyDeleteHigh cats are free entertainment!
ReplyDeleteHaha Parker was indifferent to catnip up until recently. Now he rubs himself all over it. Anya plops down like Bob and looks spacey. LOL
ReplyDeleteSo cute! My cat has lost interest in cat nip. I guess it's his age (he's 20). I miss when he used to go crazy for it. He was fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! Watch out, they will need cat nip anonymous soon!
ReplyDeleteCats and catnip - a very entertaining combination!!
ReplyDeleteBob really looks like a big time user!
ReplyDeletewhat sort of cat parents are you? lol
ReplyDeletehey, when I had a cat, I never gave her catnip. Maybe that is why she hated me.
Awwww, they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love how stoned Bob looks on catnip!
ReplyDeleteHaha, my cats love cat nip too! They act so silly when they even smell it. Yours are adorable.=]
ReplyDeleteI grow catnip so Azzie can have fresh! She loves it.
ReplyDeleteEsme: Jazzy adores cat nip & goes nuts for it - she twists and turns on the floor, and ends up covered in cat-nip like in the pic although it may be hard to see. Jazzy also pounces on anything that moves, lint, paper, feet! The entire time she emits a low growl which sounds strange because she's very, very happy and purring while she's playing!
ReplyDeleteBob is a little more sedate, usually just lying down after imbibing on cat nip. But in the last week he has started playing which consists of him chasing cat toys from one end of the room to the other. He usually forgets that he's chasing toys and just runs around until he exhausts himself, it's funny to watch. lolol
Bermudaonion: Kathy, they really are! Not all of our cats like the cat nip but most of them do. Little Sadie just rolss around on the floor like Jazzy does and will play with anything near by that moves! Usually they end up covered in the cat-nip & collapse from fatigue!
ReplyDeleteNicole: Exactly! I only give cat nip to them once or twice a week, but it's all over the cat tree and scratching post. Inevitably one of them finds some left-over and is suddenly rolling all over the floor, twisting and turning and then running around like a little spaz! It's so cute as you know!
Avisannschild: I loved Jazzy's tongue sticking out too, that's why I posted this photo and she's also covered in cat nip, although that might be hard to tell from the pic! Jazzy is my wild child. She's not affectionate & dislikes the other cats, but she loves to play & adores cat nip. She's the child we love because of her ornery, grouchy personality!
ReplyDeleteSandy: Yep, great, free, entertainment close to home! lolol
ReplyDeleteLiterary Feline: Betsy seems immune to the effects of catnip and shows no interest in it, like Parker. And, at different times, some of the cats have no interest in it or don't feel like it. Bob doesn't always want it, for example. But Jazzy is happy to ingest it and smell it anytime, anyday!
One of my cats loves cat nip - she rolls and rubs in it - while it doesn't seem to affect the other at all.
ReplyDeleteWilloughby: I can send you lots of pics so you can vicariously enjoy a cat going crazy on catnip! I think older cats do grow immune to it or lose interest, just like they really slow down playing. Daisy, our cat who died recently. played for 15 or 20 minutes every few days when she first came to live here, but in the last year or so she had no interest in catnip or playing. It's sad that it happens, but it's just old age I guess. It's fantastic that your cat is 20 and still here. Your kitty's obviously had a great life and is happy to stay!
ReplyDeleteKathy: I think we have a few subjects who could use CNA now! Jazzy for sure & Bob's heading in that direction! lol
Jo-ann: Cats on catnip is so entertaining, you're right-I could watch them go crazy & play for housr!
ReplyDeleteRhapsodyinbooks: Bob really likes catnip and when he imbibes he consumes a lot! But he's a big boy! He just looks so spaced-out & nutty after he has some!
caite: I confess, we're total enabler parents. If our cats need Catnip Anonymous, we need Parents of Catnip Addicts! LOL Some cats don't care about catnip at all, but those who like it really enjoy it and it has some health benefits. If you ever get a cat again, give it a try!
ReplyDeleteDar:Thank you! I think so too, but I am a little biased....well, a lot!
Lisa: Me too! I've never had a cat look so much like they have feasted on catnip as Bob does after some! I love it! It's funny to watch him walk away a foot or so and just plop down enjoying his trip! lol
Bashful Toast: Thank you! I love it when they suddenly start acting silly & you just know they must have found some catnip! Glad you enjoy the antics of your catnip addicts too!
ReplyDeleteKathyA: What a great idea! Azzie must be in heaven! Is it difficult to do? We don't have a lot of room but I want to plant some thing come early spring or whenever planting should be done!
Sweet Virginia: We have some cats who aren't effected by catnip and others who love to roll around in it, sniff it and eat it!
Enablers...I bet they love you for it :)
ReplyDeleteYou have such happy kitties!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!
