MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Today's topic comes from Nicole at Madlab Post her blog all about Indy Film. Nicole suggested movies focusing on women held captive or imprisoned. Molly kindly expanded this interesting theme to include female prison guards and captors Share on your blog movies that feature female prisoners, guards, or those who are accused and on their way to the Big House, linking your post back to The Bumbles Blog. If you don't have a blog, list your choices in the comment section of The Bumbles Movie post!

  1. YOu've got some good ones! The other one that was brought up over at my place was Chicago...totally spaced it on that one.

  4. Like Kathy, these are all new to me as well. I am going to add a few of them to my Netflix queue though, as they look good. Very interesting topic to choose for this week!

  5. SANDY: I spaced on Chicago, too! WHen I read it on someone else's list I just had to smack my head as it's perfect for this theme!

BERMUDAONION: If you want to see any of these, my recommendation is for Paradise Road, it's an amazing story. I've always meant to read the book, I'm sure it's even better than the movie!

STACYBUCKEYE: There were a few scenes in Bubble with the dolls that were freaky, too, although they aren't that central to the plot. Bubble is one of those movies I found on Netflix watch immediately while searching Indy favorites. I like obscure, well-done movies.

  6. THE BUMBLES: Yep, my Netflix queue has grown in leaps and bounds since participating in your meme. Next to books I love movies and now I get recommendations for some I never would have known about. Thank you Bumbles!

ZIBILEE: It's an interesting topic, difficult too. Paradise Road is a terrific movie; Cherish and Bubble are more quirky, off-beat Indys but great if you're in the mood for that type!
